Christa Matukaitis
When Christa Matukaitis set her sights on the 2025 TCS London Marathon, she never imagined low-back and hip pain could put her dream at risk. That's when she turned to our physical therapist and running specialist, who developed a customized treatment plan to target Christa's pain and keep her in the race. "Throughout the long runs of my training cycle, I was no longer using pain relievers thanks to treatment and my physical therapy homework," Christa shared. "That meant I could focus on pace and building endurance without inhibition." Christa traveled from Maine to London ready to race. "My goal was to run the London Marathon pain-free - and [Saco Bay] made that happen. Beyond the physical treatment, [they] gave me the confidence I needed to actually run the marathon and achieve what has been a bucket list item for me."
Michelle Pierce

We are proud of Michelle for the progress she has made through the program. In our latest video, Michelle reflects on the impact physical therapy had on her healing and quality of life.
Stephen Fox
Stephen came to us following surgery for bladder cancer, trusting his care with our ReVital Cancer Rehabilitation team. Prior to his cancer journey and subsequent surgery, Stephen was an avid woodworker who enjoyed taking long walks with his dog and wife. Stephen recalls, "Following [surgery] I was in pretty rough shape. I was very deconditioned, weak, very stiff. I found it difficult to move around. Initially, I was in quite a bit of discomfort. I knew I needed physical therapy. "The care here has been absolutely phenomenal. I know that I have gained a great deal of strength [and] my pain level has gone down to zero." Stephen has returned to woodworking and recently built a table that he was quite proud of creating. He has also resumed walks with his family. Congratulations, Stephen, on your continued recovery. We're honored to have helped you with living well beyond cancer.
