Compassionate outpatient neurologic rehabilitation

For individuals with an injury to the nervous system or those with a progressive neurologic disease, compassionate and comprehensive care is necessary. Saco Bay’s neurologic rehabilitation services are designed to help patients improve or maintain function, decrease balance challenges or issues and improve overall health and quality of life.

Our experienced therapists provide innovative treatments for patients and their families impacted by a neurological condition. We target the complex needs of individuals with:

• Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)
• Stroke
• Traumatic brain injury
• Multiple sclerosis (MS)
• Parkinson’s disease and associated disorders
• Vestibular impairments
• Concussion
• Other neurologic conditions

Our therapists will work with each individual to design a comprehensive and individualized care plan that targets their unique needs, focusing on increasing strength, and motor control to improve mobility and independence. Treatment plans may include:

• Balance training
• Body weight support treatments
• Locomotor training, which is exercises to improve standing and walking
• Vestibular rehabilitation
• Standing endurance and reaching
