Our Team

Jessica Abbott, P.T., DPT, Market Manager

Jessica earned a doctorate in physical therapy and a bachelor's degree in clinical health studies from Ithaca College. After graduation, she moved back to her home state of Maine and joined Saco Bay Orthopaedic & Sports Physical Therapy in 2016. She has received additional training in evaluation and treatment of the pelvic floor treating people of all ages, has become a ReVital Cancer Rehabilitation certified therapist, has received certification in dry needling and has manual therapy training from the Institute of Orthopedic Therapy. She has a strong clinical interest in injury prevention to young athletes and is working to improve injury prevention programs in the surrounding areas. She enjoys hiking and spending time with her husband and two children.

Gregory Mills, P.T., DPT, OCS, Assistant Center Manager

Greg earned a bachelor's degree in psychology in 2016 from the University of Southern Maine. After a brief career working in clinical research, he decided to switch gears and pursue a career in physical therapy. Greg later earned a doctorate in physical therapy from the University of New England in 2021. Greg completed the Select Medical Orthopedic Residency and is an orthopedic clinical specialist. Greg's main clinical interests are general orthopedics, spine health, sports medicine and occupational health. He enjoys weight lifting and spending summers on the boat with family.

Emma Cyr, P.T., DPT

Emma graduated from Husson University, earning her bachelor's degree in kinesiology in 2020 and her doctorate in physical therapy in 2022. She currently finds passion in educating patients about their bodies and working with them as a team on getting back to doing what they love, whatever that may be. She particularly finds joy in helping people who have suffered from a concussion, as getting into physical therapy services quickly has been shown to have great improvement in recovery times for athletes and older patients alike. She has completed the dry needling level 1 course and can offer this to her patients. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, hosting dinner parties and many forms of exercise.

Heather Chamberlain, M.S., OTR/L, CHT

Heather graduated from Husson University in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in health care studies and 2019 with a master's degree in occupational therapy. Following advanced study and experience treating the upper extremity, she passed a rigorous examination and received hand therapy certification in spring 2024. She fell in love with hand therapy after completing instruction in custom orthosis fabrication and completing an advanced upper extremity course at Husson University. Heather is a member of the American Society of Hand Therapists. Born and raised in Maine, she enjoys hiking, swimming and going to the beach.

Julia Nicol, PTA

Julia graduated with a bachelor's degree in health science from The University Of Southern Maine in 2021 and as associate degree in physical therapist assistant from Kennebec Valley Community College in 2023. She is passionate about working with athletes and helping them return to sport after an injury. Julia enjoys working with physical therapists and patients to problem solve and reach goals as a team. Julia loves doing outside activities, trying new things with family and friends, meeting people and spending time in the gym.

Kayla David, P.T., DPT

Kayla earned a doctorate in physical therapy in 2023 from South College. She completed her final clinical rotation with Saco Bay Kids and is excited to continue to serve this community. During her clinical rotation she gained experience working with children with a variety of diagnosis including torticollis and plagiocephaly, developmental delay, idiopathic toe-walking, cerebral palsy and more. She also has a keen interest in pelvic health therapy and is working toward certification. She enjoys exploring the outdoors, quilting, painting and trying new recipes.

Jennifer Dunaway , M.S., LAT,ATC

Jennifer received a master's degree from the University of Alabama and bachelor's degree from Towson University in athletic training. She has several years of experience as an athletic trainer working in a variety of settings. She received additional training in worksite wellness and mental health firs aid. She recently relocated to Maine to join the Saco Bay team and has been dedicated to providing injury prevention services as an onsite specialist to local businesses.

Shannon Mathews, P.T., DPT

Shannon graduated in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in exercise science from Sacred Heart University. After spending two years working with traumatic brain injury patients, she returned to school, graduating with a doctorate in physical therapy from Massachusetts' College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in 2024. As a CoreVia Pelvic Health physical therapist, she treats both men and women with various diagnoses relating to bowel and bladder dysfunction, pelvic pain and more. She is passionate about advocating for pelvic health and educating others on the benefits of pelvic floor therapy. She enjoys going to Little Sebago Lake with her family, cozying up with a good book and meeting up with friends in Portland.

Julianne Serrano, P.T., DPT

Julianne graduated from Quinnipiac University with a bachelor's degree in health science studies in 2014 and doctorate of physical therapy in 2017. She started her career in Connecticut before buying a house with her husband and dog and moving to Maine. She joined the team in the summer of 2024 and has experience treating a wide range of patients in the outpatient setting. Her interests include treating sports medicine injuries, balance patients and the post-operative patient population.

OrthoVive Joint Health

Dedicated to managing discomfort and loss of function, OrthoVive Joint Health meets you where you are in your osteoarthritis, or degenerative joint disease, journey, treating the condition and extending the life of your joint. Our therapists can enhance the results of non-surgical treatments and, when surgery is needed, serve as your guide and coach maximizing the use of your new joint. We support your success through pre-operative education, prehabilitation and post-operative care.

Pediatric Therapy

We offer multi-disciplinary pediatric therapy services – physical, occupational and speech therapy – to help children reach developmental milestones and their full potential. Therapy methods are typically given in one-on-one sessions, using play-based activities to gain insight into how a child moves, thinks and expresses themselves. Small group therapy also can be helpful for some children to build social skills and communication. Additional specialized programs, such as feeding therapy, sensory/emotional regulation, toe-walking and torticollis, are also available. We are committed to providing an exceptional experience that enhances each child's participation in desired family, community and school activities.

ReVital Cancer Rehabilitation is the first nationwide comprehensive oncology rehabilitation program of its kind.
