Welcome to Saco Bay Orthopaedic & Sports Physical Therapy and Saco Bay Kids Pediatric Therapy.

 Saco Bay Orthopaedic & Sports Physical Therapy offers a wide range of adult services, dedicated to treating patients of varying ages and activity levels:

  • Orthopedics: Whether you've sustained a mild strain or had a major surgical procedure, our physical therapists will work with you in a goal-oriented program to regain maximum function.
  • Sports Medicine: We provide sport rehabilitation services for multiple local high schools both onsite and in our center. The goal of our physical therapists and athletic trainers is to return injured athletes to their optimal performance level in whichever sport they participate.>
  • Industrial: We are focused on returning injured workers back to their place of employment in a timely and safe manner. We provide highly focused functional rehabilitation programs that ensure ideal return-to-work status. We also provide screening procedures designed to ensure safety in the workplace.
  • Pelvic Health: We offer patients access to our specialized CoreVia Pelvic Health program. CoreVia provides care - and relief - to men, women and children who experience pelvic floor dysfunction. Our highly skilled pelvic health physical therapists will help you feel your best.

Saco Bay Kids Pediatric Therapy helps children with their physical, occupational or speech therapy needs. Our highly trained clinical team will design a specialized plan of care that is just right for your child. Our Team

Emily Mullen, P.T., DPT - Center Manager

Emily earned a bachelor's in health science in 2017 and doctorate of physical therapy in 2020 at Quinnipiac University. She volunteered for Special Olympics, a sports program for those with intellectual disabilities, and Camp No Limits, a summer camp for children with limb differences, and continues to devote her time as a physical therapy team leader for the Maine camp each summer. She is certified in pediatric Personal Orthopedic Weight Reduction (POWR), dry needling and Treadmill for children with Autism and Apraxia Protocol (TAAP). Emily specializes in neurodevelopmental and musculoskeletal disorders, infant and toddler development, torticollis and treating those who have limb differences or have experienced limb loss. She is a certified clinical instructor and enjoys teaching physical therapy students.

Xenia Pantos , OTD, OTR/L

Xenia earned their bachelor's degree in outdoor leadership from Warren Wilson College and their doctorate degree in occupational therapy from the MGH Institute of Health Professions. They have a background in experiential and non-traditional education for children and adolescents through their previous work in preschools, environmental education and experiential education. Xenia has experience providing direct occupational therapy services to adolescents and adults with a wide range of needs, including in the areas of sensory processing, mental health, executive functioning and skill development. Xenia is passionate about helping children and families to decrease stress and have fun together, neurodiversity-affirming therapy, sensory integration and evidence-based practice. Xenia is licensed by the Maine Board of Occupational Therapy and NBCOT certified.

Abigail Mills , MSOT, OTR/L

Abby initially attended the University of Maine, Orono before transferring to pursue a master's degree in occupational therapy from Russell Sage College. She became interested in occupational therapy after volunteering with her high school's life skills classroom. During her clinical rotations, she gained experience in stroke and spinal cord injury rehabilitation and school-based pediatrics. Since joining the Saco Bay team, Abby has received specialized training in pelvic health and feeding therapy. She sees pediatric patients at our Saco and Portland locations. She enjoys skiing, hiking, biking and golfing.

Brian Ruby, P.T., DPT

Brian received a bachelor's degree in human physiology at the University of Oregon and doctorate of physical therapy at the University of New England. Brian is trained in workers' compensation injuries, upper extremity injuries, Parkinson's disease through the LSVT-BIG program and weight management certified through the Personalized Orthopedic Weight-Reduction (POWR) program. Brian believes in empowering patients to understand their pain so that they can take control of the factors in their life that influence it. Approaching patient care with compassion, understanding and patience are the keystones of Brian's style of patient care. Brian seeks to teach the next generation of physical therapy students, advance his techniques with the latest research and strategies and listen closely to the values and goals of each patient.

Rosie Ankhartz, CF-SLP

Rosie earned a bachelor's degree in arts from Columbia University and master's degree in communication sciences and disorders from Emerson College. She has experience providing direct speech therapy services to children with a wide range of needs, including in the areas of expressive and receptive language, fluency, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), articulation and phonology, social communication and cognitive communication. Rosie completed the New Hampshire-Maine Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) Fellowship in 2021. Rosie is passionate about neurodiversity affirming therapy. She is licensed by the Maine Board of Speech, Audiology and Hearing and is working toward her national Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association.

Carly Menges, P.T., DPT

Carly earned a bachelor's degree from Norwich University where she played ice hockey, and doctorate in physical therapy from Cleveland State University. During graduate school, she coached high school girls hockey and assisted with younger teams, and developed a career interest in continuing to work with kids of all ages. She completed clinical rotations in pediatrics, spinal cord injury and general adult orthopedics in the Cleveland area. She enjoys exploring the outdoors through camping, hiking and rock climbing.

Emily Senter , MSOT, OTR/L

Emily graduated from the University of Maine in Orono with a bachelor's degree in psychology. After taking some time off from school and working in insurance, she completed a master's degree in occupational therapy at the University of Southern Maine. Emily gained clinical experience in her full-time fieldwork rotations in a school-based setting and working with adults at a residential mental health facility. She has experience working with children with ASD, ADHD, CP, down syndrome and challenges with emotional regulation and sensory processing. Emily also teaches dance for children of various ages. She enjoys spending time exploring Maine with her dog and husband, cross stitching while catching up on her favorite TV shows and trying out new restaurants in Portland.

Morgan Menezes, Patient Service Specialist

Morgan has been with Saco Bay since 2022. She has always had a passion for being in the health care setting working in administration and patient services. Morgans past experience lead her to be a lead patient service specialist and authorization/insurance specialist. While mastering her job duties, she found the niche for keeping her space as tidy as possible and it inspired her to open her own cleaning business. When Morgan isn't working you can find her spending time with her family, enjoying the outdoors or meeting with new clients for her business.
