Saco Bay Orthopaedic & Sports Physical Therapy's highly trained staff will design a specialized plan of care that is just right for you. Through experience, advanced clinical training and clear communication with our patients, our therapy team will give you the advantage in recovery.

We offer a wide range of services, dedicated to treating patients of varying ages and activity levels:

Orthopedics: Whether you've sustained a mild strain or had a major surgical procedure, our physical therapists will work with you in a goal-oriented program to regain maximum function.

Sports Medicine: We provide sport rehabilitation services for multiple local high schools and universities, both onsite and in our center. The goal of our physical therapists and athletic trainers is to return injured athletes to their optimal performance level in whichever sport they participate.

Industrial: We are focused on returning injured workers back to their place of employment in a timely and safe manner. We provide highly focused functional rehabilitation programs that ensure ideal return-to-work status. We also provide screening procedures designed to ensure safety in the workplace.

Pelvic Health: We offer patients access to our specialized CoreVia Pelvic Health program. CoreVia provides care - and relief - to men, women and children who experience pelvic floor dysfunction. Our highly skilled pelvic health physical therapists will help you feel your best.

Our Team

Gabriel Redmond, P.T., Market Manager

Gabe has been a member of Saco Bay Physical Therapy since 2001, with 21 years of clinical experience. He received his bachelor's degree in health science in 2000 and his master's of physical therapy degree in 2001 both from the University of New England. Gabe specializes in treating a wide variety of orthopedic injuries and post-surgical patients including shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, foot/ankle and spine conditions. He also works for Scorebuilders and travels around the country teaching a two day course at Universities and Colleges on how to study for and pass the physical therapy licensing exam for graduate physical therapy students. When he is not working he enjoys spending time with his wife, three children and adopted shelter dog enjoying the best of what Maine has to offer.

Rainie Wiemer, P.T., DPT

Rainie earned a bachelor's degree in physical therapy in 2008 from McGill University. She moved back to Maine and began her career in Bridgton. Rainie later earned a doctorate degree in physical therapy in 2018 from University of New England. Rainie enjoys treating a variety of areas including orthopedics, pediatrics, pelvic floor and is trained in trigger point dry needling. She treats in the clinical outpatient setting and provides physical therapy services for the special services department in the local school district, MSAD 61 Lakes Region. Rainie enjoys all the lakes region has to offer including hiking, boating and skiing. She has been an active alpine ski volunteer with Maine adaptive sports and recreation for over 10 years. She works with the Shawnee adaptive program and is a supporter of local athletics. Rainie lives locally with her favorite hiking buddy, a chocolate lab named Hunter.

Tracie Macleod, P.T., DPT, PRPC

Tracie has been a part of Saco Bay Orthopaedic & Sports Physical Therapy since the fall of 2021. She joins Saco Bay after working for 11 years in hospital-based outpatient settings. Tracie is a pelvic health specialist. She has founded her own pelvic floor therapy program before and has been working with pelvic health patients for eight years. Tracie obtained a doctorate of physical therapy from Franklin Pierce University in 2010, certificate of achievement in pelvic health physical therapy in 2018 and pelvic rehabilitation practitioner certification in 2019. Tracie enjoys educating everyone about their own bodies and making therapy fun, even if things are difficult to talk about.
