Saco Bay Orthopaedic & Sports Physical Therapy offers a wide range of orthopedic services, dedicated to treating patients of varying age groups and activity levels:

Orthopedics: Whether you've sustained a mild strain or had a major surgical procedure, our physical therapists will work with you in a goal-oriented program to regain maximum function.

Sports Medicine: We provide sport rehabilitation services for multiple local high schools both onsite and in our center. The goal of our physical therapists and athletic trainers is to return injured athletes to their optimal performance level in whichever sport they participate.

Industrial: We are focused on returning injured workers back to their place of employment in a timely and safe manner. We provide highly focused functional rehabilitation programs that ensure ideal return-to-work status. We also provide screening procedures designed to ensure safety in the workplace.

Our Team

Arthur Chase, P.T., OCS, FAAOMPT

Arthur earned a bachelor's degree in physical therapy in 1986 from the University of New England and is a certified orthopaedic clinical specialist in physical therapy. He graduated from an orthopaedic manual therapy residency program in 2000 and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists. Arthur specializes in assessment and treatment of the shoulder, low back, neck and other spinal conditions. Other areas of specialty include assessment and treatment of running-related injuries. He has been practicing for 30 years and working in the Kennebunk center since 1994. He also holds an administrative role as a manager at Saco Bay.

Brandon Bourgoin, P.T., DPT

Brandon earned a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology in 2017 from University of Maine and a doctorate degree in physical therapy in 2020 at University New England. His professional interests lie in orthopedics, prosthetics, running analysis, spine and sports rehabilitation. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, orthopedic section. Brandon enjoys hiking and camping.

Tim Lira, P.T., DPT, OCS, Center Manager

Tim earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science in 2012 from Saint Joseph’s College and doctorate in physical therapy in 2016 from the University of New England. Tim also completed a UNE mission trip with fellow physical therapy students and faculty where he provided services to the Ghanaian population of Western Africa. In 2018 he completed post-graduate orthopedic residency through Select Medical and became a board-certified orthopedic clinical specialist. Tim is also a certified therapist in ReVital Cancer Rehabilitation. His professional interests include orthopedic and sports rehabilitation, spine and running-related injuries and treatment of the injured athlete. Tim is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, orthopedic section.

Sarah Gleeson, P.T., DPT

Sarah received a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology in 2016 and doctorate of physical therapy in 2018 from Husson University. She completed a medical mission trip with Partners for Rural Health in the Dominican Republic (PRHDR) to provide physical therapy and other medical services to rural areas. She continues to work with PRHDR and has been part of the trip to the Dominican Republic as a volunteer for the past three years. Sarah is certified in the treatment of concussions and other vestibular disorders, the Personalized Orthopedic Weight Reduction Program, ReVital Cancer Rehabilitation and dry needling.
