Our Team

Kurt Jepson, P.T., SCS

Kurt, along with Larry Risigo, started Saco Bay in 1988. He is a graduate of Bates College and the University of New England and has more than 30 years of experience working with athletic injury management and rehabilitation at the professional, collegiate, interscholastic and recreational level. Kurt became a "pool provider" for the United States Ski Team in 1998 and was selected to accompany teams to three Olympic Winter Games, five World Championships, The Goodwill Games and numerous World Cup events. He was at the Atlanta Paralympic games in a similar role in 1996. Kurt was the first sports physical therapist in the country to receive the USOC credentialing, allowing direct care of our team athletes. His publications include text chapters and periodicals. He was board-certified as a sports specialist by the American Physical Therapy Association in 1993 and recertified in 2003 and 2013.

Samantha Reid, P.T., DPT, Site Supervisor

Samantha received a bachelor's degree in applied exercise science in 2010 and doctorate in physical therapy in 2013 from the University of New England. She was a member of the woman's soccer team while at UNE. Samantha has been with Saco Bay since 2013 and her professional interests include orthopaedics and sports rehabilitation, along with vestibular and concussion rehabilitation. She is a two-time Boston Marathon finisher and enjoys helping patients return to their daily or sports activities. In 2017, she completed Select Medical’s Orthopaedic Residency program.
