Course Speakers
David AL Johnson, MD
Dr. Johnson finished a fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery in 2005 and now practices in York County. He is a team physician for Thornton Academy, Kennebunk and Biddeford High Schools. Dr. Johnson is a graduate of the University of Vermont School of Medicine. Before moving to Maine he was part of the teaching faculty at the University of Connecticut Physical Therapy Program, and Orthopaedic Surgery residency program. He was also one of the team physicians for the Hartford Wolfpack of the American Hockey League. He is a member of the New England Shoulder and Elbow Society and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
David T. Knop PT, OMT, CSCS
David is the founder of Livevital Physical Therapy and Performance. He has trained extensively in and practiced orthopedic manual and sports physical therapy for the past 13 years. His specialties include rehabilitation of spinal dysfunction, ergonomics and biomechanical evaluation. Additionally, he has worked in strength and conditioning, weight loss and nutritional coaching. David is a graduate of the University of New England and went on to study the Norwegian approach to manual therapy at the Institute of Manual Therapy in Woburn, MA. He received Fellowship with the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy.
Garrett Chin MS, ATC
Garrett is an Athletic Trainer at Northeastern University. Prior to joining the Northeastern staff full-time, Chin earned a Master's degree from Ohio University. During his time at Ohio, he was the Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for the football program. He also researched the prevalence of brachial plexus neuropathy in underreported population of high school football players. Upon graduation, he did an internship with the Boston Red Sox. He has also done an internship with the New England Patriots and is currently pursuing his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Northeastern. Originally from New Bedford, Mass., Chin received his Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Northeastern and he was a five-year member of the Northeastern baseball team.

Directions
- Take the Maine Turnpike (I-95) to Exit 32 (Biddeford).
- After the tollbooth, turn left at the traffic light intersection onto Route 111 (Alfred Street).
- Staying in the right lane to the intersection of Route 1, take a left onto Route 1 from the right-hand lane, and then an immediate right as Rt. 111 branches off to the right.
- Then continue to the next traffic light. Turn right onto Route 9/208 (Pool Street).
- Follow Route 9/208 approximately 4 miles to the University of New England sign on your left.
- Turn left at the main sign to the University Campus and park accordingly in Lot 16.
The course will take place in the Decary Annex: Human Performance Lab on the first floor across from the recommended parking lot.
