Ryan Cyr received a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of New England’s College of Health Sciences in 2002. While receiving his degree, Mr. Cyr was also employed with Saco Bay Orthopaedic and Sports Physical Therapy, PA providing supportive therapy services.
Ryan has completed clinical mentorships at Borderview Skilled Nursing Facility (Van Buren, Maine, 2001), County Physical Therapy (Fort Kent/Madawaska, Maine, 2002), and Saco Bay Physical Therapy, where he currently practices and is Director of the Saco Bay Physical Therapy Center for Spine Rehabilitation.
Ryan specializes in orthopaedic manual physical therapy. He has completed a 1-year residency program at the Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy in Woburn, Massachusetts, and he has completed a 1-year fellowship program in December 2005. His focus is on advanced orthopaedic manual/manipulative physical therapy skills for management of spine and extremity disorders. He has been an adjunct faculty member for the Physical Therapy Department at the University of New England since 2006. He teaches spinal and extremity manipulation and mobilization at the University and his clinic serves as a clinical placement site for its students.
Mr. Cyr has been an active member in the American Physical Therapy Association since 2000. He is an active member within the Orthopaedic and Sports sections of the association. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists, (FAAOMPT). |

Stephen McDavitt received a B.S. degree in Physical Therapy from Boston University in 1976 and a Master of Science Degree from B.U. in 1981. Dr. McDavitt received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the MGH Institute of Health Professions, an interdisciplinary graduate school affiliated with Massachusetts General Hospital (www.massgeneral.org ) and a member of the Partners HealthCare System (www.partners.org.). He is certified in Manual Therapy (mobilization / manipulation) and is a Fellow of American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT; www.aaompt.org). Since 1981, Steve has held PT faculty positions at Boston University, University of New England, and University of St. Augustine and is currently a PT Clinical Mentor and Affiliate Faculty for Regis University.
At our Spine Center in Scarborough, Steve specializes in spine and extremity rehabilitation and functional restoration for arthritic, athletic and occupational dysfunctions.
Affiliations: Steve has been a member of The American Physical Therapy Association since 1976. Dr. McDavitt completed his second three-year term as Director on the Board of Directors for the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA; www.apta.org ) in 2010. Nationally, he is also recognized for his stewardship as Chair of Practice Affairs Committee AAOMPT (1994-2000) and Chair of the Practice Committee (1996-2004) and Delegate (2001-2004) for the Orthopaedic Section of the American Physical Therapy Association. Steve served as Vice President of AAOMPT (2003-2004) and on the American Physical Therapy Association Advisory Panel on Practice (2003-2004). Over the past 20 years, he has been involved with physical therapy practice standards legislation and regulation in almost every state. |

Larry is a graduate of the University of New England where he received the Erma C. Myer Award for clinical excellence. He completed a two year advanced Orthopaedic manual therapy residency program at the Institute of Manual Therapy in Woburn, MA in 2003.
Licensed in both Maine and Massachusetts, he has worked in the outpatient physical therapy field for 20 years. Treating spinal disorders is his specialty. He is a co-founder of Saco Bay Physical Therapy

Susan received her Associates degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant from Lasell College in Newton, Massachusetts in 2000. She earned her business degree from Salem State College in Salem Massachusetts in 1991. She is licensed and certified as a PTA in NH & ME. She has practiced in outpatient physical therapy for six years and home health for one year. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. |

Jodi graduated from the University of Southern Maine in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. She is currently a Certified Athletic Trainer through the National Athletic Trainer’s Association as well as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Jodi has worked for local high schools providing Athletic Training services as well as in several Saco Bay Physical Therapy clinics including Windham, South Portland and Scarborough.
In 2008 Jodi graduated from Kennebec Valley Community College in Fairfield, ME and became a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant. |

Kate received her doctorate degree in physical therapy from Husson University in 2010. Prior to receiving her degree, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Biomechanics from Husson University in 2008.
Kate has completed clinical affiliations at Maine General Medical Center in Augusta, Maine; Acadia Sports Rehab in Bangor, Maine; Brunswick School System, Brunswick, Maine; and Coastal Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in Brunswick, Maine. After graduation, she was employed at Waldo County General Hospital in Belfast, Maine as a Physical Therapist in inpatient, outpatient, and short-term rehabilitation settings.
Kate’s professional interests include manual physical therapy of the spine and extremities and sport specific rehabilitation as well as working with pediatric populations. |
